Nearly a half million of Chinese tourists visit Vietnam

VNECONOMY updated: 21/07/2005

405.820 Chinese tourists traveled to Vietnam in the first six months of this year, 5.7% up over same period last year according to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT).
To maintain this good result, the VNAT keeps encouraging Chinese businesses to invest in Vietnam and pushing up implementation of tourism cooperation agreements signed between the two countries.
Vietnam Airlines has launched direct flights from Vietnam to Beijing, Guangzhou, and Kunming. Southern Airlines and Shanghai Airlines of China have also opened airways between Guangzhou and Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
