The Vietnam Administration
of Tourism Thursday conferred five-star status to the
Imperial Hotel in Hue.
Located
in the heart of the former feudal capital, by the Hương
(Perfume) River, it becomes the city’s first five-star
property, and the country’s second to be managed by
a domestic company.
The hotel, opened May 25 this year, has 198 rooms, including
168 deluxe rooms, three imperial suites, and one presidential
suite. It boasts a combination of modern facilities
and the cultural and architectural values of Hue besides
a harmonious combination of Western and Oriental architecture.
The only other domestically run five-star hotel is the
Windsor Plaza Hotel managed by Van Thinh Phat Co. in
Ho Chi Minh City. |
